Vintage Diecast Series Tuning Machines
Our reproduction of the iconic Vintage Diecast Series tuning machines began in 2002 following the release of the Deluxe Series tuning machines. Hands down, the most fitting model to champion the return of the Vintage Diecast series had to be the Waffleback®. Also known as the Kluson® Super and absent from the market since the early 1970’s, these tuning machines were well known for their use in high-end guitar models produced by Gibson® and Martin®.
In the summer of 2015, the Waffleback® was joined by the planetary gear driven Firebird® Banjo tuning machines. These unique, tuning machines we’re another of the line’s most well known original models and were also used on the Gibson® EB bass models. Once lost in time when the original Kluson® Manufacturing Co. closed its doors, these faithful recreations are now readily available in both bass and treble versions with metal or plastic buttons.
